Abstract

The analysis process as a theoretical model used in the social sciences is a subject of debate for social scientist. Seen as a “temporal contextualization” – each event is analyzed as a result of a process. The authors identify four principles for the analysis process: the “ingredients”, the sequences, “the engine” and the bifurcation. In our article we give an example of analysis of the career transition of employees made redundant following the closure of their business. In this case we have identified a series composed by: time of the event, moratorium (crisis), negotiation (project), job search, insertion, stabilization. In conclusion we support this methodological approach even if it includes various techniques of data collection and an important quantity of information.
