FITNESS AND BODY IDENTITY: SOCIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES

Résumé

RÉSUMÉ: L'image corporelle devient un critère de validation sociale, et l'industrie du fitness et les réseaux sociaux contribuent à la formation de l'identité corporelle et à l'émergence de modèles corporels idéaux.

L'objectif de cette étude est d'explorer la manière dont le fitness contribue à la formation de l'identité corporelle. L'étude synthétise de manière critique la littérature existante, en intégrant des perspectives sociologiques et culturelles, avec un accent sur l'identité, le fitness, l'image corporelle, les différences de genre et les réseaux sociaux.

Méthodologie: Une recherche exhaustive a été effectuée sur la base du modèle PRISMA sur PubMed, Frontiers, ResearchGate et JSTOR afin de trouver des articles pertinents publiés au cours des 10 dernières années. Quarante-quatre articles répondant aux critères d'éligibilité ont été inclus dans l'étude.

Résultats: La forme physique peut contribuer à la construction de l'identité corporelle, représentant une forme de capital symbolique, mais aussi un mécanisme subtil de contrôle social. Le phénomène « fitspiration » confère une dimension numérique à la construction de l'identité, en tant que facteur de motivation et mécanisme de pression et de comparaison sociale.

Conclusions: Le corps devient un symbole de discipline, de travail et même de statut social. Le fitness peut être considéré comme une forme de différenciation sociale ou de résistance aux stéréotypes de genre, en particulier chez les femmes qui choisissent de ne pas se conformer aux clichés traditionnels de la « féminité ».
