Outline
The 2030 Agenda initiated by the UN has become a real action plan for people, the planet as a whole, and the prosperity of all based on guaranteeing peace and collaboration between nations.
The broad areas that subsume the 17 goals that mankind must consider are the following: no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace justice and strong institutions, partnership for goals.
All these goals can be pursued individually but also in interconnection because the achievement of one goal depends on the accomplishment of others.
The analysis of how such objectives can be achieved but also of the stage of sustainable development they have reached can be grounds for reflection and concrete social research.
Considering the particularly generous theme opened by Agenda 2030, we invite researchers and practitioners to submit their papers on topics already listed with local, national or international coverage areas.
Scientific Annals of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi (New Series) Sociology and Social Work Section welcomes original, interdisciplinary research, theoretical and empirical papers, based on either qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methodology that reflect the current ideas and practices in the social paradigms / ideology and intercultural communication areas.
