Outline
The current globalized society, freedom of movement, migration and access to global information networks brings forward the issue of intercultural communication. The experience of new cultures turns into an exercise of understanding the values, behaviors and norms of other societies but also a personal endeavor of building your own identity. Intercultural communication cannot be decrypted without a thorough analysis of ideological benchmarks. Ideology or dominant social paradigm - understood as a set of values and mechanisms of thought which are most widely accepted by members of a society at a time - trace the direction of social, economic and political manifestations.
Scientific Annals of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi (New Series) Sociology and Social Work Section welcomes original, interdisciplinary research, theoretical and empirical papers, based on either qualitative, quantitative or mixed methodology that reflect the current ideas and practices in the social paradigms / ideology and intercultural communication areas.
All submissions will undergo a peer-group review process.
Scientific Annals of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi (New Series) Sociology and Social Work Section aims to promote the remarkable results of scientific and empiric researches of professorates, researchers, students, and practitioners in the field of humanist sciences in order to stimulate the optimal functioning of academic and social fields. Analyses and theoretical-methodological sociological explanations as well as the exemplification of their values at the political and social work strategies and interventions level are welcome.

The deadline for submission of articles is 28th of February 2015.
