Abstract

The present paper is focused on the features of political discourse as a tool of power. Within it, we are interested in emphasizing the mechanisms that link the identitary component of the relation between the speaker and his public, on one hand, with the power relation emerged among the same communicators, on the other hand. Moreover, such mechanisms involve a certain attitude of the orator regarding the concept of truth, which in rhetorics is understood in a particular way which is centered on the concept of persuasion
